A student getting a measurementArea high school students can register now for an educational opportunity that will pay dividends long into their futures!

Recruiting is underway for the 2025-26 school year at Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTE).

Students can choose from any of the 29 programs being offered school next year at the CTE Albany and Schoharie campuses, as well as the new CTE Extension Center and off-campus sites at Bellevue Woman’s Center, St. Peter’s Hospital, Proctor’s and Schoharie Elementary School.

BOCES programs serve as training grounds for careers ranging from constructionA student welding outside to game design, nursing, heating and cooling and law enforcement. Most programs provide not only the educational requirements for students to complete their high school educations, but also professional certifications to give them a boost when seeking employment. Many of our programs also feature articulation agreements with colleges and trade schools and some of the programs provide college credits.

•  Feb. 4 for the Entertainment Tech  program. The open house will take place  at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the theatre. 

• March 6,  on the Albany Campus, located at 925B Watervliet-Shaker Road in Albany. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
