Next program for aspiring school leaders begins in fall 2023
The next cohort of the Executive Coaching program begins next fall.
This unique program—a partnership between Capital Region BOCES, the National Association for Women in Administration (NYSAWA), and Tenshey, Inc.—was designed to nurture and build the skill set for aspiring school leaders.
Participants will work closely with professional advisors to develop and implement strategies that will radically shift the mindsets and habits that impact how they work, lead, and succeed.
NYSAWA members can take part in one of two coach programs designed to help women find their voice and success in such traditionally male-dominated professions as educational leadership. Learn about becoming a member of the New York School Association of Women in Administration (NYSAWA).
The coaching experience is customized to ensure each participant’s satisfaction and success. This includes a series of one-on-one conversations at the start between participants and prospective coaches to ensure a good fit between the participant and their coach, and that the participant’s growth toward their personal and professional goals is the focus of their work together. These coaching programs, designed for professionals at any career level, provide women an opportunity to develop their professional skills, network with like-minded allies, and set themselves on a path to leadership.

Participants can choose from two different tracks: the first, Sprint, is designed to help develop essential skills for these roles; the other, Transform, is built to help those already in executive roles boost their careers through coaching and assessments.
Programming is slated to begin this summer, with registration open through July 31, 2023. This professional development program is available on My Learning Plan and is BOCES aidable for BOCES and school districts in New York state.
