Job Description:

Great opportunity to join a growing company and the ability to train/apprentice as an aerial linemen or underground operator. Our company constructs and maintains telecommunication networks in the Capital region and within 100 miles. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Maintaining and demonstrating proper safety to include equipment and work zone set-up according to DOT specifications. Coordinate with the crew supervisor to ensure a clear understanding of roles and expectations in order to be productive. Assist with vehicle and machinery maintenance. Loading and unloading tools, material, and equipment needed. Installation of anchors, guy guards, and riser guards. Hand excavating existing utilities. Assisting lineman with installation of strand and cable.

Skills Needed:

Experience in a similar industry desired but will train the right candidate. Must have a current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to use a variety of hand/power tools safely and effectively. Ability to lift approximately 75 lbs. Ability to kneel, squat, bend and twist as needed. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Hourly Wage:

$19-$20/hr.
