What you will do:
As an Instructional Technology Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on the integration of instructional technology in schools. This team plays a key role in providing comprehensive, impactful and efficient solutions surrounding the use of educational software and services within our partner school districts. In your role, you can expect the following
- Your day will be busy supporting a variety of classroom and school-based instructional software products. This involves collaborating with district staff and software vendors, delivering training sessions, offering ongoing support to district users and assisting in the procurement of software products for subscribing districts.
- You’ll be part of a dedicated team that contributes to NERIC’s Model School Services; a regional program that helps districts evaluate, plan and integrate technology into their curricula to enhance student achievement.
- You will facilitate workshops and software user groups for educators, administrators, support staff, and other district stakeholders to better ensure they maximize their use of instructional technology.
- You will use your expertise in instructional practices, technology and innovation to support the evolving needs of districts, helping to adapt NERIC’s services as technology tools and instructional requirements evolve.

What you bring to our team:
- College Degree in Education, Instructional/Educational Technology or related field with at least 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher leading the use of technology or experience training educators on the use of educational software and technology.
- Your ability to effectively create and deliver training both in person and via web-conferencing.
- Your ability to communicate effectively with school personnel and administrators.
- Passion to have a positive impact on student achievement through effective use of technological resources.
- A valid driver license (as this position may require occasional local and regional travel)
