School Library Systems Specialist (Information Processing Specialist)

Our Educational Support Services division in search of a School Library Systems Specialist to join our School Library System team. If you are eager to make a meaningful impact in education and help shape the future of library services, this position is perfect for you.

What you will do:

As a School Library Systems Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated and dynamic team that supports area school districts with their school library automation system. In your role, you can expect the following:

  • Your day will be busy supporting participating school districts within our school library system, which includes maintaining and updating school library catalog records, importing patron user information, providing technical support, and building reports for our school libraries.
  • You will be a cataloging liaison for our districts as they use the automation system to effectively run a school library program.
  • You will thrive as part of a busy, collaborative team whose primary goal is to provide access and support for top notch library services, and to better serve our students on their path to success.

What you bring to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or Associate’s degree in information systems with 2 years of paid experience involving the maintenance of data and the generation of specialized reports through queries and automation.
  • Strong computer literacy with a solid understanding of how to maintain data and automate system processes.
  • Ability to track and organize information with keen attention to detail in a timely manner.
  • Desire to work as part of a cohesive team working towards a common goal of enhancing library systems and services.
  • A passion for work that contributes to the success of our regional school library services and educational support services division.
