Exciting opportunity available at Niskayuna Community Day Care Center in Schenectady, NY, US for a Teaching Assistant position. Join us in creating a nurturing and educational environment for our young learners. Niskayuna Community Day Care Center is a small, not-for-profit organization that has been serving Niskayuna and surrounding area families for over 30 years. We are a play-based Center that focuses on providing a safe and healthy environment for children 18 months-5 years old to learn and grow throughout their day. We are currently running with four open classrooms but we hope to open other classrooms when we have more quality staff that we can trust. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, engaging in hands-on learning with children, and supporting daily routines while working closely with experienced educators This role offers a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and a chance to make a positive impact on the children in our community. Compensation: $16 hourly Responsibilities: • * Support the lead teacher in executing lesson plans and educational activities for students. • Offer individualized assistance to students who need extra support. • Ensure a safe and encouraging learning environment for the students. • Aid in maintaining classroom discipline and reinforcing positive behavior. • Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to assess student development and cater to individual needs.
