Sometimes learning is easier when you are working with a classmate.
That’s the case for students in the Capital Region BOCES Network Technology program where juniors and seniors in the program say they learn better when helping each other out.
“I like the teamwork we do to learn in this program,” said Cohoes High School senior Vincent Kamara. “I learn better when we are all teaching each other, helping each other.”
Junior Yousif Alsammarraie concurs.
“The environment in the program is excellent. The hands-on activities and really the people are just good – we all learn together,” the Bethlehem High School student said.
The two-year Network Tech program helps area students develop a unique understanding of today’s ever-growing field of network connectivity and emerging technologies. Through lectures, course work and hands-on activities, students have the opportunity to explore this exciting field and gain the technical knowledge and professionalism needed to prepare them for an after high school career or post-secondary study.
“It’s easier when we all learn together and focus on the same goal. We help each other out,” said Demari Perkins, a senior from Watervliet.
