Our counselors and school social workers are ready to support you and your child in a variety of ways.

Help students understand and overcome social or behavioral problems through individual and group counseling.
Provide individual and small group counseling based on student needs.
Work with students to develop skills such as organization, time management, and effective study habits.
Help students set realistic academic and career goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
Evaluate students’ abilities and interests through aptitude assessments and interviews.
Develop strategies with teachers, administrators, and parents to help students succeed.
Conduct lessons on topics such as bullying, drug abuse, and planning for college or careers after graduation.
Refer students and parents to resources outside the school for additional support.

Provide crisis intervention.
Develop intervention strategies to increase academic success.
Assist with conflict resolution and anger management.
Help the student develop appropriate social interaction skills.
Assist the student in understanding and accepting self and others.
Assist parents/guardians to access programs available to students with special needs.
Assist parents/guardians in accessing and utilizing school and community resources.

Teach a small group of students and individuals inside and outside of the classroom.
Assess the students’ work done in class.
Develop and adapt individualized teaching methods that are suitable for each of their students.
Use special skills, tools and equipment to provide an interesting learning environment.
Collaborate with the class teacher to build a better learning environment for the student.
Provide updates on student progress and give recommendations to promote a better learning environment at home.
