The Capital Region BOCES Communications team helps school leaders build trust and credibility with their publics through a planned and strategic program of two-way communication aligned with district goals and priorities. School officials know they can count on the BOCES Communications team to provide best practices in school communications — from crisis communications to campaigns that help build informed consent for controversial budgets, and so much more.
Because each district is different, customized service packages are created to fit each district’s communication needs and budget. Districts without internal communications staff contract for one or more public information specialists who are typically based in their schools and who work closely with the district leadership team. Backing them up at BOCES is a creative and technical team of specialists in graphic design, social media, website development, video and printing.
All Tier 1-4 service contracts come bundled with our School Communications Portfolio, a library of “out-of-the-box” communication products, campaigns and message points designed to harness the power of a team in delivering greater value and efficiencies to all districts that purchase tier services.
Tier 1-4 service levels also include 150 Enhanced Specialty Hours, which can be customized to fit each district’s annual communication needs and priorities.
Any district purchasing Tier 4 service may also purchase additional days of custom support on a discounted annual per-day basis, in full-day and half-day increments.
Members of the Communication Service collaborate regularly on each district’s behalf to provide a depth and breadth of service that no single district would be able to replicate on its own.
