arrow bulletBased on Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations (Part 49 Section 382), employers shall require a bus driver to submit to alcohol and/or controlled substance testing when the employer has a reasonable suspicion to believe that the driver has violated federal alcohol and/or controlled substance prohibitions. This section further requires that persons designated to determine “reasonable suspicion” must receive a minimum of two (2) hours of training in the “physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and use of controlled substances.

This Reasonable Suspicion Training fulfills this federal requirement, and is also an excellent refresher.
