BOCES science and math professional development programs provide a variety of support to districts. Science and math literacy is addressed through activities such as:

Aligning curriculum and assessment with NYS science core documents and the Common Core Standards for math.

Assessment strategies for the inquiry-based classroom.

Staff development initiatives that connect research and classroom practice.

Training sessions for the Science and Technology for Children (STC) Program.

Training for science and math state assessments.

Starlab Planetarium—inquiry-based astronomy programs offered through the use of a portable planetarium.
