The Print Management Service helps districts save both time and
money by managing and streamlining the
printing process for districts. Our staff will obtain printing
quotes for your publication jobs and act
as the liaison between district staff and printers. We pride
ourselves on fast, personal service. Given
the volume of printing we purchase on behalf of local
districts, we have established solid, ongoing relationships
with many commercial and BOCES printers
that result in high-quality service to you. And should a printing
job ever fall short of your expectations,
let our seasoned staff work to resolve the situation to your
satisfaction.
The Capital Region BOCES’ bid process helps school districts get the
most competitive prices for their
printing. We solicit quotes from commercial printers, as well as
from several BOCES print shops. If a print
job is sent to a BOCES print shop, a portion of the printing cost is
eligible for state aid.
All printing jobs are shipped directly to districts from the print
shop. Each year, we will provide you with
a “Report of Total Jobs Printed,” showing the breakdown of quantity,
prices and total costs, to help you manage
your printing budget.
We can also design and lay out both print and electronic forms, as
requested by you, and then archive them in
our office for easy, future updates. We
have a staff of four graphic designers for
any design need. Worried about back-to-school publications and print
jobs? Provide us with a list of what you
need printed and any samples you may have of similar jobs printed
previously, and we will coordinate printing and delivery
before the opening of the new school year.
2010-11 Pricing: Based on actual printing costs plus an 18% coordination fee
