Online collections allow students and teachers to access and use their school library resources from any location at any time. This service assists schools in the purchase of online databases and learning resources in a cooperative environment. The School Library System negotiates with vendors for prices significantly lower than list price when purchased through BOCES. Services include:
Database awareness sessions
Database trial periods during the school year
Cooperative best-price purchasing
Coordination of training sessions for librarians and teachers
2010-11 Pricing: Cost of database(s) plus 14% coordination fee
