In a crisis, people will often judge schools not so much by what happened as by how the leaders responded to it. One of the biggest mistakes leaders can make is to be silent or reactive about difficult issues. In a crisis, our advice to school leaders is to tell it first, tell it all and tell it yourself. To that end, we help schools navigate in a crisis with strategic advice and communication supports that will help schools emerge with their credibility and community confidence intact.

Crisis communication supports are offered as part of our Core Communication Service. They can also be purchased at an hourly rate by non-client districts in need of “in-the-moment” crisis communications advice and assistance. Our trusted school crisis advisors offer two decades of experience helping education leaders navigate a wide range of difficult situations, including: organized opposition groups; criminal allegations involving students, staff and administrators; environmental and health crises; difficult audits; gangs and bullying; tragic accidents; suicides; school shootings and more.
