Board of education elects new board officers  

Aug. 11, 2016 -- Congratulations to Lynne Lenhardt and Kevin Kutzscher who were elected President and Lynne Lenhardt
Vice President of the Capital Region BOCES Board of Education at its reorganization meeting in July.

Lenhardt currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA), a substitute teacher, and a tutor. She was elected to the Bethlehem Central Board of Education in 1988, where she has served as president and vice president. She has also been a member of the Capital Region BOCES Board of Education since 1997 where again, she has served as president and vice president. Since 2005, she has served on the Tech Valley High School Operating Board.

Lenhardt received a master’s degree from the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy and formerly taught high school social studies. She is an active participant in the Delmar Progress Club, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bethlehem Historical Association, Slingerlands Fire Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and serves as liaison to the Board of Trustees of the Bethlehem Central Community Foundation.

Kutzscher is currently the transportation/operations manager for Schoharie County Head Start. This is his eighth term representing Schoharie County on the BOCES Board of Education. He has also served as bothKevin Kutszscher president and vice president. He is currently chair of the Human Resources Committee and serves on the Leadership Transition, Audit and Facilities Committees. He also serves on Tech Valley High School’s operating board and served for 15 years on the Board of Education for the Sharon Springs Central School District

Kutzscher graduated from Gilboa-Conesville Central High School and has earned college credits from Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He has a long history of volunteer service, serving as a Boy Scout troop leader for four years and as a member of the Boy Scouts of America Executive Committee for three years. He was also a member of the Sharon Springs Booster Club for four years and a member of the Sharon Springs Parent Teacher Organization for 11 years, for which he held various leadership positions.
