Building Trades students raise $200 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
A team of students in Doug Harple's Building Trades II class at Career & Tech's Albany campus raised $200 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help fight bloodborne cancers. Tyler Cooper (Voorheesville HS), Kelsey Cresser (Niskayuna HS), Kyle Garcelon (Mohonasen HS) and Nick Norton (Schalmont HS) selected the LLS Team in Training program as a charitable cause to support and sold candy throughout the school year to fellow students and staff at Career & Tech. The students, all of whom are seniors, also recruited others in their class to help from time to time with the fund raising.
