Nurse Assistant Program for Adult Students
(Adult Nurse Assistant program)
The Adult Nurse Assistant program is a great starting place for the
student interested in working as a supportive caregiver in a
healthcare setting or in further education in practical nursing or
other health-related disciplines. The program provides training in
total patient care both in the classroom and through off-campus,
supervised clinical experiences. Students prepare for the New York
State Certified Nurse Assistant examination. Certification qualifies
individuals to work in any nursing home in the state.
The program is offered as a full-day or part-time,
evening study program.
Preadmission Requirements:
Minimum age: 17
Admission Requirements:
Successful interview
Professional and personal references
Physical exam and immunizations
Each NA candidate must have a volunteer patient on the day of the state test
